  • Volvo Cars – Volvo Dealer Site Portal

    Hungarian Volvo Dealers can create and modify their web presentation with a central content management portal. To achieve this functionality we’ve implemented a central web based content management editorial system, with which every car dealer can modify it’s own web pages based on their rights and authorization. The portal should ensure that the web pages created by the dealers are following the rules of the Volvo design guidebook and only use the predefined layouts, templates and components. We have created predefined page templates for users to build their own portals, and well-defined content elements (e.g. company data, news, staff, multimedia elements) can be inserted into the templates.

    When designing the Volvo Cars portal, special attention had to be paid to support mobile devices. We support mobile phone support in several ways. In parallel with the WEB portal, a separate mobile portal is available, which builds separate mobile pages based on the content of the dealer pages available on the WEB. The main objective of the 2015 design change was to also cater for mobile phones with "responsive design", so the new design now supports the automatic handling of different screen sizes by default.

  • BUDAPEST FILM ZRt. – Filmklik – VOD and community portal

    We developed an Internet Film platform for Budapest Film Zrt before the advent of netflix etc. This was a VOD platform, with full DRM support as required by film distribution companies. Users were able to browse or search for films on the online portal, then 'rent' or 'purchase' them for viewing. Paid for films were available online initially in DVD quality, then also in HD quality as well. The films were protected by a custom developed DRM system implemented using the Microsoft DRM framework. In the second phase of this project a community portal was added with user and filmklik “professional” blogs, forums and a full rating and comments system for registered users.

  • Lufthansa Systems, Mobile solutions - development projects

    Clarmont is a long time partner of Lufthansa Systems, with whom we have worked on over 20 projects in Hungary as well as internationally. These projects were typically enterprise systems requiring know-how of broad range of technologies, databases, and targeting a high number of users and vast amount of transactions. We provided them with systems architecture and development support as well for these projects. For the most part Java Enterprise was the technology chosen for the server side, while on the client side we worked on a range of clients – java based web and WebStart-based applications as well as both JavaScript-based and native mobile applications.

  • Hungarian State Treasury – Central Transaction Management System

    We developed the central transaction management system of the Hungarian State Treasury. All the GIRO financial transfer transactions (incoming and outgoing) pass through this transaction management engine, with 20,000 to 1,000,000 daily transactions. The system provides daily reports and calculations based on the transaction data warehouse.

  • Instant payment and settlement system for a large scale banking group in Hungary

    We’ve designed and implemented an instant payment, transaction management and settlement system for a large scale banking group in Hungary. The Hungarian real time inter-bank payment system has regulations to fulfill real time payment transactions end-to-end within 5 seconds, including settlement.

  • Erste Bank - Database Near Line Archiving

    For ERSTE Bank we implemented a Near-Line archiving system for the storage and management of monthly account statement documents. A special feature of the system is that the archived database was still online and could be queried via standard Oracle tools, even though this long term archived data was actually stored on optical disks in a high storage-capacity jukebox. This hierarchical solution allowed all current and past data to be accessed together with standard SQL select commands.

  • DHL - „PillanGO” Controlling & Reporting System

    We developed a comprehensive controlling and reporting system for DHL Supply Chain in Hungary (previously called Excel, and before that - Tibbett and Britten). The system was developed to replace their SAP controlling module with a cost-efficient system with significantly enhanced functionality. This solution imports data from multiple sources (SAP accounting, logistical and HR-payroll systems), on the basis of which a data warehouse is built. The system includes a transaction/calculation engine that performs recursive financial cost allocations, the results of which are used in reports and are also used the basis for their open book accounting and billing. One of the special elements of the system is the fully parameterizable calculation engine, in which both formulas and logical connections between data can be freely defined by the financial controllers. Online OLAP and generated reports from this system are used by financial controllers to check and verify correctness of their financial reports.

  • Bombardier-MÁV (Hungarian State Railway) and Lufthansa Systems Hungary - Controlling & Reporting Systems

    We also developed comprehensive controlling and reporting systems for both Bombardier-MÁV and Lufthansa Systems Hungary. These systems were custom designed and developed to meet the different controlling planning and reporting needs within each company. These solutions import data from multiple sources (SAP accounting, HR-payroll systems, JIRA task and project management system, TimeTrack time tracking system, MFG Pro accounting, logistical and HR-payroll systems, etc), on the basis of which an interconnected data warehouse is built. Each system includes a transaction/calculation engine that performs recursive cost allocations the results of which are used in reports and as the basis for their open book accounting and billing. One of the special elements of these systems is the fully parameter based calculation engine, in which the formulas and logical connections between data can be freely defined by the financial controllers.

    Participating in the development of GE Healthcare’s EMR – Electronic Medical Records System. Complete athlete register, drug database linked with allergy information, injury and treatment records. System for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

  • BUDAPEST FILM ZRt. – Modular Payment Gateway

    A stand-alone cinema ticket ordering and purchase system based on the modular payment gateway was created for Budapest Film.

    We developed a custom system (mobile clients, front-end, back-end) to fully support the complex work-flow of under-secretary meetings of Hungarian ministries. The system manages creation and editing the agenda of the meetings, with document workflow to handle attached documents for each agenda item. All the meeting documents are version controlled by the document management back-end. The system included both web-based and iPad clients, with all clients accessing the latest version of the agenda and documents. The actual meeting process itself, including automatic generation of meeting notes is also supported.

    Participants could join a meeting with an iPad, browse the agenda, view documents, add comments to the documents with visibility restrictions (private, group, public visibility). Meeting participants are also able to use an integrated, secure chat application to communicate with a supporting back-office team of experts during the meeting.

    The whole system architecture was designed in a redundant, clustered manner to satisfy high availability, scalability and critical performance requirements. Security was a key factor during the system design and development and the system was successfully security audited by the Hungarian NSA (National Security Authority).

  • iConference – supporting Infotér

    We developed a customized conference support system which was used for the Infotér conference series from 2012 to 2014. The system included a web-based admin interface, and native IOS and android apps for use by those attending the conference. The system also drives the public display screens, presenting relevant and timely information at multiple locations throughout the conference location. We are continually adding new features to iConference.

    One of the key aspects of the system is that it uses a special, high performance, fully graph-based, object-oriented database which also functions as an application server.

  • Meltwater – RSSCrawler

    The RSSCrawler allows our client to register a huge number of RSS and Atom feeds and provides a scalable environment for automatic download scheduling and mass-processing of the obtained feed items (cca 1 million processed feeds/day) based on keywords and regular expressions. The obtained information is transformed into a common, easily searchable format and passed on for storage. The RSSCrawler is capable of automatically determining the optimal query interval for each feed, and automatically adjusts itself accordingly. The application automatically balances the load over the installed nodes to maximize performance. Thanks to its robust and fault-tolerant design it can easily survive hardware problems since any tasks belonging to a lost node are automatically taken up by remaining nodes.
